SUPPORT TO EUROPEAN UNION FRAMEWORK CONTRACTORS

Under the European Union’s Framework Contract (FWC) approach, only EU firms may contract directly with the EU. GMA has successfully assisted many of these firms to find experts who are then contracted directly by the firm with a separate contract entered into with GMA for commission / finder’s fee. GMA has on various occasions provided the entire team for an assignment and has essentially been subcontracted to provide all of the consultants and to implement the entire contract. Examples include:

Assignment: Enhancing the visibility of CSOs and EU support to their work on human rights and social justice

South Africa 2017 - 2018

Client: European Union / Particip GmBH

GMA assisted Particip to conceptualise their proposal for how to implement this contract, identified Fireworx (A South Africa film production company) to produce a series of documentary films and a coffee-table book, and contributed to the writing of the book.

Assignment: Formulation of the EU 11th EDF Programme for Governance Focal Sector in Malawi

Malawi 2015 - 2016

Client: European Union / Particip GmBH

In addition to providing the team leader / senior international expert for the formulation mission, GMA also provided both national consultants – effectively making up the entire team.

Assignment: Identification and Formulation of the EU ‘Rule of Law, Accountability and Anti-Corruption in Ghana’ Programme’

Ghana 2014

Client: European Union / Particip GmBH

GMA provided the team leader for this assignment as well as two national consultants, effectively providing the entire team of consultants.
